Incident affecting Google Ad Manager Data Transfer

Incident began at 2021-10-06 15:00 and ended at 2021-10-16 02:50 (times are in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)).

Oct 16, 2021 2:54 AM UTC The problem with Google Ad Manager Data Transfer has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. The affected users are able to access Google Ad Manager Data Transfer, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior.

This is the current status of Ad Manager Data Transfer NetworkActivities hourly files:

  • Hourly files published since October 12, Hour 10 (20211012_10) contain the correct NetworkActivities data
  • Hourly files published from October 6, Hour 8 (20211006_08) through October 12, Hour 09 (20211012_09) do not contain the correct NetworkActivities data but will remain published.
  • Corrected NetworkActivities files have been published for every hour of the October 6 through October 12 impact window, and can be identified by the "_corrected" text appended to their file names, but a single hour 23 file (e.g. "20211006_23_corrected.gz") contains each impacted day's full data (7 files in total).

For publishers who use the BigQuery Connector you will now need to backfill for the affected days (instructions here).

Oct 15, 2021 7:18 PM UTC Google Ad Manager Data Transfer service has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users in the near future. Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change. The affected users are able to access Google Ad Manager Data Transfer, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior.

This is the current status of Ad Manager Data Transfer NetworkActivities hourly files:

  • Hourly files published since October 12, Hour 10 (20211012_10) contain the correct NetworkActivities data
  • Hourly files published from October 6, Hour 8 (20211006_08) through October 12, Hour 09 (20211012_09) do not contain the correct NetworkActivities data but will remain published.
  • Corrected NetworkActivities files have been published, with a single hour 23 file (e.g. "20211006_23_corrected.gz") containing each impacted day's data (7 files in total).

For publishers who use the BigQuery Connector we will also publish empty hourly files for every other hour of the impact window with "_corrected" appended to the file names. Once published, you will need to backfill for the affected days (instructions here).

Oct 13, 2021 9:55 PM UTC We expect to resolve the problem affecting a majority of users of Google Ad Manager Data Transfer at Oct 16, 2021, 4:00 AM UTC. Please note that this time frame is an estimate and may change. The affected users are able to access Google Ad Manager Data Transfer, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior.

This is the current status of Ad Manager Data Transfer NetworkActivities hourly files:

  • Hourly files published since October 12, Hour 10 (20211012_10) contain the correct NetworkActivities data
  • Hourly files published from October 6, Hour 8 (20211006_08) through October 12, Hour 09 (20211012_09) do not contain the correct NetworkActivities data.

We will soon publish corrected NetworkActivities daily files for each impacted day.

The affected users are able to access Google Ad Manager Data Transfer, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior.

This is the current status of Ad Manager Data Transfer NetworkActivities hourly files:

  • Hourly files published since October 12, Hour 10 (20211012_10) contain the correct NetworkActivities data
  • Hourly files published from October 6, Hour 8 (20211006_08) through October 12, Hour 09 (20211012_09) do not contain the correct NetworkActivities data.

With the underlying issue now resolved, we will soon publish corrected NetworkActivities daily files for each impacted day.
